Photographing the Tall Ships
Having previously sailed on the ships in 2011, I’ve been very keen to follow the ongoings of the event from around the world. After a recent trip to Belfast for the Tall Ships arrival it was onwards to Dublin for the PortRiver Festival where I got the chance to shoot on board some of the worlds biggest and oldest tall ships in the world. Among them was The Pelican, The Gulden Leeuw, and the Juan Sebastián de Elcano.
The latter being the third-largest in the world, which spent five days in the harbour of Irelands captial.
An incredible piece of engineering and luxury design, the ship is as impressive as it gets. If you’ve never been on one of these ships I highly recommend taking the time to go and visit. With Belfast, Waterford, Galway and Dublin being great places to spot the fantastic ships.
